Met The Graveyard focuste Filip Berte op de geografische randen rond en de sociale marges binnen Europa. Met The Blue Room, het vierde project van Eutopia, richt hij nu zijn focus op ‘het centrum’.
‘Het centrum’ verwijst naar de Europese Unie als een territoriaal geheel en zal vertegenwoordigd worden door twee belangrijke Europese centra: Brussel, informeel erkend als de hoofdstad van Europa, en Berlijn, dat geografisch in het hart van Europa ligt en als historische plaats symbool staat voor de post-Koude-Oorlog-verzoening tussen Oost- en West-Europa.

The Blue Room vertegenwoordigt het officiële, institutionele Europa en wil meer bepaald de problematische kloof tussen de Europese Unie en haar burgers visualiseren en ter discussie stellen.

Spin-offs van The Blue Room zijn Yes or No Monologue for the European Constitution en The Dialogue Audition.

With the project of The Graveyard Filip Berte focused on the geographical boundaries around and the social margins within Europe. With The Blue Room, the fourth project of Eutopia, he now focuses on ‘the centre’.
‘The centre’ refers to the European Union (EU) as a territorial entity, and will be represented by two main European centres: Brussels, informally accepted as the capital of Europe, and Berlin, geographically lying at the heart of Europe and symbolically the place of the post-Cold War reconciliation between eastern and western Europe.

The Blue Room represents the official, institutional Europe and its aim is more specifically to visualise the problematic gap between the European Union and its citizens, and bring it up for discussion.
